Weather Contingency (Rain Plan)
The backup plan for an outdoor event if the weather turns.
A weather contingency, or rain plan, is your predetermined backup for an outdoor event: an indoor room, a tent, or a later call time if rain, heat, or wind threatens the day.
Decide the plan and the decision deadline in advance. Tents and outdoor rentals book up, so a real rain plan is something you reserve, not something you scramble for on the day.
