“Interlace” is an immersive, live art performance blending painting, music, movement and fashion. The piece explores themes of intimacy, expression and embodiment through a collaborative act of creation between visual artist Rachel Berkowitz and musician Xtina Del Valle. As Xtina performs both original musical compositions as well as crowd- favorite covers with live accompaniment, Rachel paints directly onto a custom gown designed for the specific performance. No performance will ever be the same, each dress always unique, the performance including exciting additions and guest features. Each brushstroke becomes a response—an echo of voice, breath and motion—blurring the line between artist, canvas and performer.
