Save the Date

Save the Date

An early announcement that tells guests to reserve your event date before invites go out.

A save-the-date is a brief early notice, sent well before the formal invitation, telling guests the date and location so they can plan travel and time off. It is especially important for weddings, destination events, and holiday dates.

Save-the-dates typically go out several months to a year ahead, while the full invitation follows closer to the event. A stationer can design a set that matches your invitations, and you should send them to everyone you are certain to invite.
